Why is she bald? Was Cleopatra bald?

I suggest visiting the history section of your library and looking up books on Egyptian rulers.

Men and women both shaved their heads during that period. Wig-style played an important part in aristocratic status, and the pharaohs would wear fake beards!

Slaves just left their scalps bald.

To answer your question: Yes, Cleopatra probably shaved her head bald so she could wear the fashionable wigs. I'm not so certain Jasmine would have done the same, because she's an Arabic princess and not Egyptian, but I wouldn't be surprised if she did...

I always thought that she had too much hair to piled on top of her head, it all makes sense now! I can't wait until Aladdin finds out about this...x)
